TYLER, Texas — Smith Dental Care will offer free dental services for those in need at their annual "Free Dental Day" event on Saturday.
Formerly known as "Dentistry From the Heart," this will be the 16th year the event is taking place.
In order to receive services on Saturday, you must register for the event on Feb. 7.
Registration starts at 4 p.m. in the parking lot located at 1343 East Grande Blvd. on Friday. You must have registered in order to get a scheduled time slot for Saturday.
The event is first-come first-serve.
"We're excited to be back out and have this opportunity to treat new people," Dr. Lynette Ogletree DDS, said.
Dr. Ogletree is one of 10 doctors that will be on hand offering free cleanings, fillings and extractions.
"I'm privileged to be a dentist," Dr. Ogletree said. "Every day we get to help people have a happy, healthy smile."
The event is free to those 18 year of age and older, excluding patients who are pregnant, have a phobia, on blood thinners or have uncontrolled blood pressure.
"We don't want finances to stand in the way of any patient having a healthy mouth," Dr. Ogletree said.
