East Texas professional angler breaks record for single-day total weight in Bass Pro Tour

According to Major League Fishing, Kelly Jordan, of Flint, ended the day on Tuesday in first place, setting the record for the highest single-day weight caught during a Bass Pro Tour competition with 82.4 pounds.

FLINT, Texas — An East Texas professional angler broke the single-day record for total weight in the Bass Pro Tour.

According to Major League Fishing, Kelly Jordan, of Flint, ended the day on Tuesday in first place, setting the record for the highest single-day weight caught during a Bass Pro Tour competition with 82.4 pounds. The previous record of 56 pounds was set by Marty Robinson.

Jordan is competing in the Favorite Fishing Stage Three Presented by Evinrude of the Bass Pro Tour on Jordan Lake in North Carolina.

The fisherman has competed in 203 tournaments to date with following accolades:

  • Four 1st place finishes
  • Five 2nd place finishes
  • Four 3rd place finishes
  • 33 Top 10 finishes
  • 62 Top 20 finishes
  • 76 Top 30 finishes

His career winnings have come out to $1,621,324.50.

Jordan will be back in action on Thursday competing in Elimination Round 1, on Falls Lake in North Carolina.
