HOUSTON — Wow what a beauty of a Friday it was! Low humidity and highs near 80. It's perfect weather to be out and about on Friday night with temps falling through the 70's and low humidity.
The weekend calls for a warm up with highs in the 80's both days. Sunday introduces a slight chance for rain as well.
Monday is another thing entirely!
Another cold front will bring rain across the area on Monday, then open the door for cooler and drier weather next Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tropical storm 'Nestor' is racing toward the Florida panhandle. It's expected to make landfall Saturday morning with sustained winds near 65 mph.
The storm is moving at a fast pace (22 mph) so add that speed to the sustained wind speed on the right hand side of the storm, and some coastal areas could see winds sustained above 80 mph.
The storm will bring much needed rain to drought stricken Georgia over the weekend.
