A woman had called 911 to let authorities know about a body in a field, and when deputies got to the scene, they saw her at the side of the road.

She ended up telling them there was a body in the field, and she led authorities to it.

Deputies saw a white man's body laying on the ground and determined he was dead.

Immediately after that, the area was sealed off for a protective sweep.

While conducting the sweep, deputies found another body of another white man.

After CID responded to help, detectives got search warrants to look around the area where the bodies were found and later discovered a vehicle at the scene.

An investigation was conducted and authorities determined that both men had suffered apparent gunshot wounds.

The first victim was found with several gunshot wounds. The second man who was a short distance away, had a single gunshot wound to the head.

Authorities have not confirmed the identities of the two men, both in their early 30s.

Autopsies have been ordered.

The witness at the scene was unable to be interviewed at the time, that interview will be conducted later today. This investigation is active and ongoing.
