HOUSTON COUNTY — Arkansas natives, 25-year-old Anna Gonzales and 26-year-old Bradley Hartranft, died after their SUV hit another SUV at around 6 p.m. on Highway 19, just south of Crockett.

According to DPS, a preliminary crash investigation indicated that Gonzales and Hartranft were heading south on Highway 19 in a Nissan SUV.

For reasons unknown to authorities, the Nissan drove to the right and off the road, overcorrected back to the left, and headed into the northbound lane where it was hit by a Ford SUV that was driving north.

Gonzales was driving the Nissan, and she was ejected from the vehicle.

Both she and Hartranft died at the scene.
