The Angelina County & Cities Health District has provided general information regarding the six cases within the county. However, the identities of the patients will not be given.
- A male in his 30s, who's in the medical field, has recovered after being exposed in Louisiana.
- A female in her 40s remains hospitalized after being exposed in Florida. (Travel-related)
- A couple in their 70s were both hospitalized after being in contact with a family member out of state who tested positive for COVID-19. The male patient has been released and is in quarantine at home, the female patient remains in the hospital.
- A female in her 20s is still recovering at home after being exposed overseas. (Travel-related)
The Angelina County & Cities Health District reported Thursday morning an additional confirmed COVID-19 case, bringing the county to a total of six cases.
The patient is a female in her 70s and the exposure source is unknown, which means there is a community spread in Angelina County, according to the Angelina County & Cities Health District.
"We sincerely hope that people realize what a dire situation this truly is and that they change their behaviors to keep themselves, their loved ones and the community safe," Lufkin police said.
