Chick-fil-A opens location in Mount Pleasant

The restaurant plans to donate $25,000 to Feeding America to help East Texas' fight against hunger.

MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — A new Chick-fil-A restaurant will begin serving Mount Pleasant residents starting this Thursday. 

The restaurant is located at 105 E. 16th St. in Mount Pleasant and will be open for dine-in and carry-out from 6:30 a.m. to 9 p.m., and drive-thru from 6:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

Chuck Howard will be the independent owner of the franchised Chick-fil-A in Mount Pleasant, the first to serve the Titus County area.

Mobile orders can be placed through the Chick-fil-A® App or online. Delivery is expected to launch within the next couple of months. 

Customers interested in becoming Chick-fil-A One® members can obtain points on qualifying purchases to receive tasty rewards.

Howard will be responsible for not only running his location but also employing close to 100 team members, providing exceptional customer service and harvesting new relationships with local businesses.

“I am so excited and humbled to bring the first Chick-fil-A to Mount Pleasant with a state-of-the-art facility, an incredible location and a team that is ready to offer unrivaled hospitality to an unbelievably great community,” Howard said.

Howard started his career with Chick-fil-A in 2016, as an previous owner at Chick-fil-A Hwy 26 at Precinct Line in Hurst. Some of Howard's notable achievements thus far are being a retired US Air Force pilot and logistician of 24 years, a former high school teacher and a former airline pilot.

“It is truly a dream come true to come home and serve our area and I-30 and U.S. 271 travelers," Howard said.

Howard’s restaurant is planning to join Chick-fil-A Shared Table®, with a goal of repurposing unused food from the restaurants across the county to local food banks and nonprofits in need. More than 18 million meals have already been donated from Chick-fil-A restaurants nationwide, according to the restaurant's announcement.

In addition, Chick-fil-A is recognizing 100 local heroes making an impact in the Mount Pleasant community. These individuals will be awarded free Chick-fil-A meals for a year.
