Cowgirls are showing off their skills at the women's rodeo in Tatum. Teams of four competed for buckles, cash, and of course bragging rights.
“We're having a great time celebrating Jesus," Paula Rambo says.
Bar None Cowboy Church hosted the women's rodeo. Their horses took a break today as every event was on foot.
"For some participation by some of those other ladies that typically don't get to do this stuff," Sandie Dickey says.
While the competition had cash prizes, friendship and fellowship was the bigger goal.
Organizers say the event had a great turnout and they are planning more events in the future.
