Crimestoppers increases reward for missing man James "Jimmy" Tidwell

James "Jimmy" Tidwell went missing in February 2012. His family has helped to increase the reward money to $6,000.

HENDERSON — An East Texas family is desperately asking for help, finding their loved one who has been missing since 2012.

James "Jimmy" Tidwell went missing in Mount Enterprise. Family and friends have increased the Crimestoppers reward from $3,000 to $6,000.

In February 2012, Rusk County Sheriff Deputies found James Tidwell's white Ford truck, at the intersection of FM 95 and State Highway 315.

For years deputies and his family searched the woods, but never found any trace of him. His sister Lynn Akin says his disappearance came at a very strange time, as he was moving into a new home.

"I do think and have thought from the beginning that foul play is involved,” Akin says. “You do not buy 10 acres of land move a cabin in on it have it set up and delivered.”

Tidwell's family says they are thankful for all the donations and hope someone has information.
