Registered voters can make their voices heard through the early voting process starting on Monday.
In Smith County, there are elections happening for the city of Tyler, the East Texas Municipal Utility District, Bullard Independent School District, Troup Independent School District, and the city of Winona.
The city of Tyler has contested elections for mayor and city council district 2. East Texas MUD has a $6 million bond proposal on the ballot. Bullard ISD, Troup ISD, and the city of Winona also have contested elections.
The Smith County elections office will have early voting locations open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 23-27 and from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. on April 30 and May 1.
Smith County has four separate locations for early voting, based on which election a person is seeking to vote.
