CASA for Kids of East Texas celebrated their season with a Holiday Open House that was held on Tuesday.
The organization opened its doors to the public to learn more about CASA's programs and goals for the coming year while enjoying some holiday refreshments.
“This is one of my favorite events each year as our board, staff, volunteer advocates and partners look back on the number of lives touched in our community,” said Kristi Boyett, Board Chair. “It is bitter-sweet as so many young victims need our support each year, but I am thankful that our organization is here to help them through this journey.”
Volunteers and partners of the organization were recognized and thanked for their help for children in need.
The Open House also featured a pictorial display of all that CASA accomplished in 2017, including the number of children served and number of community representatives that were recruited and trained.
CASA for Kids of East Texas is a nonprofit organization that helps provide safe, loving permanent outcomes for children in need by visiting them regularly and establishing relationships with them.
The organization serves about 600 children every year.
