Cozad Insurance Group is inviting community members to turn in worn-out American flags and receive a new one.

The company will be accepting the old flags from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily through Friday at 1428 S. Main St. in Lindale and 619 Chase Drive in Tyler.

New flags, which are 3-by-5-inch nylon and chain-stitched, are limited to one per household, but they will “gladly take as many worn flags as needed,” according to Cozad Insurance Group news release.

All worn-out flags will be retired in a respectful ceremony by the Lindale Boy Scouts this fall.

“At a time in our country where we are surrounded by so much tragedy and violence, Cozad Insurance Group is doing a small part to make our little slice of the world more patriotic,” the news release stated.
