JACKSONVILLE, Texas — The Jacksonville ISD Board of Trustees voted Friday to make face coverings optional while at school or on school property.
JISD says the new directive will go into effect Monday, May 17, for all students and staff.
"We thank the school community for so willingly cooperating with this mandate during this difficult school year," JISD said in a statement.
