We've been getting to know our newest KARE 11 Sunrise team member Gia Vang, and she's been getting to know Minnesota.
Gia set out to find the best summer spots in the Twin Cities.
Her first find was Lake Minnetonka, which is the biggest lake in the metro area. Gia quickly found that Minnesotans love heading out on their boats and spending the day on the water.
Gia's next stop was Minnehaha Falls. A waterfall in the city. Minnehaha Falls features a 53-foot waterfall, limestone bluffs, river overlooks and it attracts over 850,000 visitors annually, according to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation board.
The Stone Arch Bridge walk was highly recommended to Gia. Walkers enjoy this area for the variety of people and the variety of views in the area. Whether you want to people watch, explore or both, the Stone Arch Bridge walk is sure to keep you entertained.
