For many East Texans living in Canton, losing everything became a reality on Saturday.
That is why volunteers from around Texas are coming together to provide a place for victims who are searching for lost items.
Becky Miller, former Mayor of Carrollton, came by the donation center on Wednesday with a truck loaded with donations.
“The community came together and dropped off stuff at different locations so we decided to bring it up here to Canton,” Miller said.
Due to severe weather, the donation center closed early on Wednesday but will reopen on Thursday.
