MARSHALL — Aaron Callaway, a 49-year-old Marshall man, is facing charges for allegedly striking a pedestrian while he was driving intoxicated at around 5:30 p.m. on October 25, 2018 at the intersection of W. Pinecrest Drive and Washington Avenue.
According to the Marshall Police Department, officers responded to the scene after getting reports that a vehicle had struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian was later taken to a Marshall hospital with serious injuries.
Callaway was also taken to the hospital for treatment.
Callaway was arrested on November 30, 2018 on an arrest warrant charging him with Intoxication Assault with a Vehicle Causing Serious Bodily Injury.
Authorities booked Callaway into the Harrison County Jail where his bond is set at $20,000.
Callaway is also facing a separate charge for an unrelated Driving While Intoxicated incident.
Authorities said Callaway was found driving with no headlights at around 7:52 p.m. on November 21, 2018 in the area of Scenic Loop and East Pinecrest Drive.
After failing field sobriety tests, Callaway was arrested by Marshall Police and booked into the Harrison County Jail where he was charged with Driving While Intoxicated.
