LONGVIEW — Girl Scouts of East Texas Troop 2473, is doing their part to honor our fallen heroes.
They planted 450 flags on veteran graves at Rosewood Cemetery in Longview. Making sure no veteran in the cemetery is forgotten. This is the seventh year they have participated in the event.
For Girl Scout Dina Zie, she plants a flag on her grandfather's grave. He passed when she was four years old and served in both World Wars.
"My grandpa is out here he served in World War 2 in the Navy i just want to thank him and all veterans," Girl Scout Dina Zie says.
Two of the scouts are interested in joining the military, so they can protect the country.
