More than 30 Texas cities will rally over 'Families Belong Together' campaign

Protesters will rally in more than 600 cities around the country to protest the separation of migrant families on the United States - Mexico border as a result of the "zero tolerance" policy.

LONGVIEW — Family is defined as a group of parents and children living together in a household.

But, for more than 2,000 children and their parents - according to the definition they aren't considered a family right now.

A crackdown on illegal immigration caused the separation, which sparked outrage. President Trump issued an executive order last week in order to end the separation under his "zero tolerance" policy which prosecutes any adult who illegally enters the United States.

On Wednesday, a federal judge ruled on that families that were separated at the border must be reunited within 30 days. But protestors believe the administration will fight back, which is why the protests will go on.

Protests will be held in 30 cities around Texas.
