TYLER — From his humble beginnings in Rusk, Clint Alford started writing songs at 19.

The years that followed became a journey to find and perfect his sound. Alford made his way performing on several stages and events, lending his voice and talents to various recordings.

Alford's been on the music scene since the early 2000's and was once the frontman of the Tyler-based alternative- rock band, The Papers.

In 2010, he went out on his own to form the acoustic driven group known as The Kid Icarus Project with fellow musician Ian Chandler.

The band played at several bars, restaurants and even performed at South by Southwest.

Today, Alford continues to play with the Kid Icarus Project that has now grown to four members.
