TITUS COUNTY, Texas — The Titus County Sheriff’s Office have arrested nine people for alleged narcotics violations near an elementary school.
On Thursday, deputies executed a search warrant at a residence in the 200 block of East Magnolia Street in Mount Pleasant, across the street from E.C. Brice Elementary School.
Deputies say they discovered a "significant amount of evidence" indicating methamphetamine and other illegal items located throughout the residence. Based on those observations, another search warrant for illegal controlled substances was obtained followed by a more detailed search of the residence.
During the continued search, deputies say they also discovered a handgun that was stolen out of Camp County earlier this year. Officials also say they found "a large number of new and used syringes."
