JACKSONVILLE, Texas — Officials have identified the body of a man who was found near Love's Lookout in Jacksonville early Friday morning.
Just before 7 a.m., the Cherokee County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene of a body on the side of County Road 3906 at the intersection of County Road 3901.
The body was identified as that of Randy Davenport, 25, of Jacksonville.
Officials say this is a homicide and an investigation has been opened.
