Broadway square mall welcomed Santa Claus to Tyler.
Saint Nick came to town on top of a fire truck ... and children lined up to tell him what is on their Christmas list.
The mall unveiled Santa's new interactive set with a ribbon cutting.
Parents and kids getting the chance to have their face painted, arts and crafts and meet a few special guests.
One family says spending time with each other is their gift of the year.
"Christmas time to us is all about family,” Grandmother Lisa Milton says. “Presents you can get every day but you can't get family.”
Santa will be making appearances at the mall every day until Christmas.
He tells us he is now making his list, checking it twice and encouraging all East Texas children to be just nice.
