An inspection at a local Tyler gas station uncovered a working card skimmer, according to Tyler Police.

A state inspector found the device at the Exxon gas station located at Commerce Street and north Loop 323 on Tuesday afternoon.

The device was collecting information from the magnetic stripe on the card as well as the pin number and storing into a memory unit that could be accessed via Bluetooth.

Police say this is the second device found at this station in recent weeks.

Tyler Police Department and Smith County Sheriff's Office are investigating this location as well as visiting others in the area to look for any other devices.
