Montgomery County man arrested on child pornography charges, DPS said more victims could be in East Texas

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Texas — A Montgomery County man was arrested last week on child pornography charges and the Texas Department of Public Safety is warning the public there could be more victims throughout the country and possibly in East Texas due to the man's use of social media to communicate with his victims. 

DPS said officials began investigating Chadrick Lashun McNeal, 23, of Conroe in the fall of 2018 when information was received McNeal was allegedly extorting inappropriate images online from female children all over the world using a variety of social media platforms.

McNeal operated under the SnapChat usernames pboi58, jayyboyy56 and koolkids6, according to DPS.

Tyler Dunman, DPS Special Crimes Bureau Chief said in a news release the department believes there could be hundreds of child victims across the country and even worldwide. 

The news release said DPS is asking anyone who has interacted with McNeal or has additional information about his activities to immediately contact law enforcement.

DPS and the Montgomery County ICAC Team are asking anyone who may know McNeal or who may have been a victim to contact their local law enforcement agency or the Montgomery County ICAC Team at 936-760-6910. 

McNeal was arrested in Conroe on four counts of possession/promotion of child pornography and one count of sexual performance by a child. 

McNeal remains held in the Montgomery County Jail on bonds totaling $250,000, according to Montgomery County jail records.
