Ford F-150 pickup trucks are offered for sale at a dealership on September 6, 2018 in Chicago, Illinois.

TYLER — Tyler Ford is participating in making repairs on F150 trucks recalled by Ford last week.

The recall affects both regular cab and super crew trucks between 2015 and 2018.

On Saturday, Tyler Ford will open the service department to make the repairs regardless if the customer is a Tyler Ford customer. However, repairs need to be scheduled by appointment.

Tyler Ford will offer free food for customers from local food trucks including Say Cheese, BY's Rollin' Smoke BBQ, Lupita's Restaurant and Wienerland.

“The recall notifications haven’t even been sent by Ford at this time, but we wanted to get ahead of the game for our customer’s convenience,” David Irwin, owner of Tyler Ford, explains. “We understand that these recalls are inconvenient – especially for those working weekdays. So we decided to try and make the process as quick and convenient as we could by opening on a weekend and providing food.”

Customers may still schedule a repair outside of Saturday at no charge.

To setup an appointment, call the service department at 888-475-5841 or 903-597-9331.
