The Tyler ISD Career and Technology Center architecture, welding, and construction students recently collaborated to create small mobile shelters to help the local homeless population.
Students wanted the construction to be simple. A light weight, water tight insulated box on wheels.
The students delivered the structures to Church Under the Bridge in Tyler.
According to Tyler ISD, the project titled “There’s No Place Like Home” was funded through a $5,000 “Grants for Great Ideas” grant sponsored by the Tyler ISD Foundation.
