Tyler woman killed after losing control of scooter, running into back of semi in Nashville

Melinda Lovelady was pronounced dead at the scene.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. — A Tyler woman is dead after police say she lost control of a Lime scooter in Nashville.

According to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department, Melinda Lovelady, 54, was riding a scooter in the northbound lane of 3rd Ave. S. and Symphony Pl. 

Officials say the scooter collided with the back tires of a southbound semi.

Lovelady was pronounced dead at the scene.
