MOUNT PLEASANT, Texas — The City of Mount Pleasant received a prestigious award from Insurify as the "Greenest City" in the state.
According to Insurify, the study used data car insurance data to determine a city's vehicular carbon footprint. Among the variables the study took in consideration were fuel-efficiency, annual mileage, vehicles per household, drivetrain and engine displacement.
The study also considered citywide variables including clean, quality parks, renewable electricity programs, quality of the air and urban sprawl.
