Ian Power said 'good music brings good people together.' That's how he and his band-mate Douglas Jay Boyd linked up in the music world.

One can say Power has an 'old soul'. He grew up listening to his father's record collection, which consisted artist such as: Bob Dylan and Hank Williams. However, contemporary artist like Deer Hunter inspire him. Power described his music to be 'Indie-folk'.

"[Power's Music] kind of a dreamy-Americano-folk music," Power said.

Power has been performing with Boyd for three years. He's lived in Austin, but he calls Tyler home.

Boyd said music an icebreaker sometimes for people. He and Power said they view music to be a conversation. They hope their sound is a good first impression with listeners.

"Sometimes it's not easy to find folks like you," Boyd said.
