Tyler pizza shops prepping early for Super Bowl Sunday

Millions of people will pig out on pizza this Sunday and one shop is anticipating big business.

TYLER, Texas —

From major chains to local shops, besides the pizza, there's something else they all have in common.

This Sunday will be their busiest day.

"We'll probably make around 2,000 pizzas," Earl Wilmeth, Owner of Rounder’s said.

That's more than half of what they produce daily.

"We'll use somewhere around 450 to 500 pounds of flower on Super bowl Sunday. [Also] 150 pounds of pepperoni, sliced pepperoni [and] about 500 to 800 pounds of cheese," he said.

Earl added, "It'll be a lot, I know that we'll sell a lot of pizzas."

He’s owned this business for more than 5 years, so he's used to prepping for the big day.

"The biggest part of our prep will be the weekend before on Friday to make sure we've got enough product,"  he said.

Once you have your pizza, wings can be the perfect addition.

"Wings is always a big deal, so we'll probably sell double"

Whether you like your pie Hawaiian style or Plain Jane with cheese, this Sunday is going to be a big amount of food for a big day.

Don't forget, the Super Bowl will air Sunday on CBS 19 February 3 at  5:30 p.m.
