TYLER, Texas — Robert E. Lee High School principal Dr. Dan Crawford is informing parents there is no "credible or visible threat on campus" following social media rumors that spread Wednesday night into Thursday morning.
Concerned parents reached out to CBS19 in regards to reports of a threat against the school making its way around Snapchat.
However, according to Dr. Crawford, out of an abundance of caution, the district provided extra resources to the high school and are welcoming anyone to share any information they may have.
Parents then thanked Dr. Crawford, who was joined by Coach Dennis Baker, for personally greeting students as they were dropped off this morning at the high school.
"Thank you for being outside and the first face everyone saw today as we dropped off," one parent said.
"Reassuring seeing you out there this morning, thank you for all you do," another said, echoing other parents' sentiments.
