Branson Ellis soars to new heights...literally. Last month, the former Robert E. Lee student won the 6A state pole vault title for the second consecutive year. And if that wasn't enough, he established a new state record at 18.325 feet.
On Sunday evening, Ellis stopped by the studio for an interview. He talked about how he got in to pole vaulting, and his journey to becoming a state champ. He also shared what his future goals in the sport are.
Ellis has committed to Stephen F. Austin State University, and will be pole vaulting for the Lumberjacks next season.
