GRAPELAND, Texas — After resigning from Harleton Independent School District in November, Terry Ward as been named the new head football coach at Grapeland ISD.
Ward confirmed the news on Monday.
"I am very excited and thankful to Mr. [Don] Jackson and the school board for giving me the opportunity to be part of this wonderful district," Ward said.
Ward spent four seasons at Harleton after leaving Tenaha ISD in 2015, his home for six years.
He will take over for Wayne Mahaffey who announced his retirement in January.
