SHELBY COUNTY, Texas — Two people were killed in a head-on collision in Shelby County south of Center.
According to a preliminary crash investigation, 28-year-old Jordan Shisler, of Center, was driving south on US 96 when for unknown reasons he crossed the center of the roadway and was struck in the passenger side by a 2007 International truck tractor semi-trailer.
Both Shisler and passanger, 20-year-old Jasmine Cavazos, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the International was transported to a local hospital for possible treatment and later released.
The crash remains under investigation.
