TYLER - Before the 2018 season got started, Lee offensive lineman Beaux Limmer announced that he had verbally committed to Arkansas.
Limmer had another strong season as a key piece of an offensive line that helped the Red Raiders have a strong ground game. Other schools would have been happy to have him, but Limmer stayed firm on his commitment and on Wednesday, he officially signed with the Razorbacks.
Limmer says, "I'm looking forward to it greatly, you know, SEC D-linemen are the best D-linemen in the nation and to go against them week by week is going to be a great challenge."
Part of what drew him to Arkansas was a pair of coaches with East Texas ties. Head coach Chad Morris has a strong connection to the area. And associate head coach Jeff Traylor used to coach at Gilmer, his brother is Lee head coach Kurt Traylor, and he was the one who recruited Limmer.
Limmer adds, "He's just like coach Kurt Traylor, he's a fantastic coach and also really good, really easy to talk to and he recruited me because he knows how Coach Traylor does things down here and his culture and our work ethic."
