TYLER - For the 6th straight year, a former UNC Greensboro player and coach have made their way to Tyler to hold the backcourt basketball skills camp.
This camp is a little different than other camps as the coaches focus a lot of their energy on teaching kids the fundamentals of the game.
Former UNCG coach Larry Hargett says, "To make them habits, they have to be done competitively over and over and over and it's the little things that turn out to be the big things sometimes."
For the players, getting a chance to work on their fundamentals is a big help, because often, those things can be overlooked when they practice with their teams during the season.
Palestine rising senior Matthew Wages says, "It helped me with my fundamentals...this has got me ready for my senior year...just focus more and pay attention to detail and just get ready to sharpen things up."
