TYLER - On Friday night, the 3rd annual FCA Heart of a Champion all-star baseball and softball games took place.

This year, there were some great performances in those games and they both gave the fans a show.

In the baseball game, the blue team was in control from the start. New Diana's Cole Williford had an RBI double in the 3rd inning and his teammate, Jacob Burton, was dealing on the mound, striking out 6 in 2 innings of work. All of that was a big boost to the blue team and they went on to win 12-2.

Just a few feet away on the softball field, the blue team got off to a fast start thanks to a 2-run home run from Spring Hill's Sydney Johnson. The red team would fight back, getting a run on an RBI hit from Van's Morgan Benge. And while they would make it interesting, the blue team held on to win 9-8.

The final all-star game is the football game and that will take place on Saturday at 6:30 PM in Longview.
