DIBOLL - Several football players have made their way from East Texas to the NFL, but not that many have won a Super Bowl ring. Jermichael Finley is one of the few that's actually made it to the big game and won.
But despite making it to the top of the NFL mountain, he's still just an East Texan at heart.
On Thursday, he was back in his hometown of Diboll holding a football camp for more than 50 East Texas kids.
And he says being back at home, and knowing where he came from, has always kept him grounded.
Finley says, "You have to throttle down and think about I came from a small town in East Texas and I'm blessed and I always come back to that and it always calms me to be humble."
Joining him at the camp were 2 other former NFL players, Brandon Bostick and Lufkin's Jorvorskie Lane. And Lane enjoys getting a chance to share his wisdom from a successful college and pro career.
Lane says, "it's just a real exciting thing to get out here and give our knowledge back to the game."
