TYLER - The Lee girls basketball team is off to a good start this year. The Lady Raiders were 14-4, but those were all non-district games.
On Tuesday, the real season got started as Lee opened district play at home against Rockwall-Heath.
And this game was ALL Lady Raiders. They opened the game on a 28-0 run. Lee led 33-4 at the half and when it was all said and done, they crushed Rockwall-Heath 57-25.
On the boys side, they've got another week until district play begins. On Tuesday night, Longview got a tough test as they took on Mt. Pleasant.
The Tigers held a slim 2 point lead at the half. In the 2nd half, the teams continued to go back and forth, but the Lobos scored on a putback with less than 2 seconds to play, and that was the difference as they won 50-48.
