KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Kansas City quarterback Patrick Mahomes will start Sunday against the Tennessee Titans, the team announced Friday.

The Whitehouse alum dislocated his kneecap Oct. 17 in a game against the Denver Broncos.

Kansas City won that game 30-6.

The Chiefs went 1-1 in the two full games without Mahomes. Matt Moore led the Kansas City offense during that time, throwing for more than 500 yards and three touchdowns.

Mahomes returned to full participation in practice earlier this week ahead of Friday's announcement.

The Chiefs are currently 6-3 and in first place in the AFC West.
