LONGVIEW - Southeastern Oklahoma State University stopped by Lobo Stadium on Thursday afternoon to hold their prospect football camp. There were over 60 high school athletes from East Texas on hand to participate in the event. Coaches from Southeastern Oklahoma were teaching these rising stars a multitude of skills, and conditioning drills to help in their development. For running back coach Payton Werner, East Texas is a great place to find talented athletes.
"You know I see a group of kids that have a level of maturity that is tough to match based on what I've seen in these camps anywhere else there is definitely a level of college readiness that's a little bit different compare where else we've been camp wise so I think that and just the caliber of athlete is definitely next level here," says Werner.
