Sunday Interview- Texas College football team joins the show

Texas College is the only 4-year college in Tyler with a football team. Even though the football team has struggled in recent years...this year, they are recharged and optimistic about a great 2018 campaign.

On Sunday night, the Steers dropped by the CBS-19 studio for a live interview. Representing the football team were head coach Charles Moss, quarterback Vontyne Williams, and defensive lineman Cameron Barrs.

Coach Moss has been able to ignite passion and positive energy into the program, since he took over as head coach two years ago. Moss attributes the "change of culture" to the wonderful group of coaches and staff that work alongside him.

Both Williams and Barrs talked about the camaraderie and the brotherhood that this team has. They attribute that to why they had such a great offseason.

Maybe the best part of the interview was when Moss disclosed which singer he would love to see in concert.

The Steers have their first home game of the season on Sept 29 against Arizona Christian. Kickoff is set for 11am at Christus Trinity Mother Frances Rose Stadium. If you have never been to a Steers football game before, come out and support them. Their marching band is second to none!
