The UT Tyler baseball team made history this year. On Tuesday, the Patriots defeated Texas Lutheran to solidify their first national championship in program history.
The Patriots stopped by the CBS-19 studio on Sunday night to talk about their championship run. Representing the team were head coach Brent Porche, and players Tanner Roach and Ben Romines. Porche talked about his message to his players during their postseason run.
Roach talked about the selflessness of this team as they made the championship run. Roach also disclosed his go-to Karaoke song.
Romines dished on his epic proposal that took place, just minutes after the Patriots won their championship. Better yet, Coach Porche gave Romines some marriage advice.
The Patriots ended the season with the most wins in program history (40).
