TYLER- The Tyler Junior College baseball team is back in familiar territory. For the 5th straight year, the Apaches are World Series bound. After defeating Brookhaven College 15-4 on Saturday, the Apaches captured the District C Tournament, and punched their ticket to the NJCAA Division III World Series.
TJC was able to persevere through various injuries and some close losses this season. Now, the four-time defending national champs are poised for a great run.
"We're always excited this time to be able to scramble around and get some travel plans together and head back to the World Series," stated head coach Doug Wren. "I'm excited for our guys for the opportunity that they have in front of them to be able to play at a national level...as a coaching staff, there's no better feeling."
The World Series is schedule from May 26-31 in Greenville, TN.
