The UT Tyler men's basketball team is out to an unprecedented start this season. They are currently enjoying a six game winning streak to start their 2017-2018 campaign, which established a new program record.

On Sunday afternoon, they picked up their sixth consecutive victory of the season win a 110-99 win over Rhodes College. Sophomore forward Emeka Obukwelu had quite a game. The Plano native scored 43 points, which is a single-game program record, while going 20-22 from the field. He also registered 17 rebounds to pick up his fourth double-double of the season.

Melvin Anthony pitched in 22 points, while Cameron Frank scored a career high 20 points for the Patriots.

The Patriots return to action Thursday evening at 7:30 at Hardin-Simmons.
