LONGVIEW, Texas — A Good Samaritan is dead following a Tuesday morning multi-vehicle crash in Longview.
According to the Longview Police Department, the wreck occurred around 5:40 a.m. at the intersection of Loop 281 and Birdsong Street, near Lake LeTourneau.
Police say the accident was a result of two separate incidents.
After the initial crash, a pedestrian trying to direct traffic was struck by a vehicle, according to police. The pedestrian was pronounced dead by officials.
The LPD says others were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The roadway has been reopened after initially being shut down due to the accidents.
