CBS19 WEATHER: Breezy and warmer start to the Easter Weekend

Check out the latest forecast from the CBS19 Weather Experts.

TYLER, Texas — Good evening, East Texas,

About as good as it gets Thursday. High temperatures topped out in the low 70s with a light wind and low humidity. You can thank high pressure centered over the Ark-La-Miss. This fair weather maker is sending us a pleasant airmass and now a southerly wind that will lead to warmer temperatures as we get to closer to Easter. We'll also see an increase in humidity that could lead to some thunderstorms late Monday night overnight into Tuesday morning.

Here's your forecast:

TONIGHT:

Expect a mostly clear sky, a light wind and a comfortably average overnight low in the low to mid-50s. So you might want to have a light jacket ready when you head out the door.

TOMORROW:

The holiday weekend gets off to a great start with a partly cloudy sky and a temperature in the upper 70s. The biggest difference will be the wind. It will blow out of the south at a steady 15 mph but at times wind gusts will approach 25 mph.

EASTER WEEKEND:

As we look ahead to the holiday weekend, temperatures continue to warm through the weekend. Saturday features just a few more clouds and high temperatures rising to near 80-degrees, and by Sunday, morning lows will be in the 60s and afternoon temperatures return to near 80-degrees. While clouds increase over the weekend, rain looks to stay out of the forecast. It will be the perfect weather to wear your Sunday best and hunt for the Easter eggs outside!
