TYLER, Texas — Strong to severe showers and storms moved through East Texas late Sunday and early Monday. These storms dropped heavy rain, large hail, and damaging winds across the region. The good news, all of the storms have now left the region!

Now that the morning rain and storms have moved out of East Texas, you can expect to see plenty of sunshine for the rest of the day. Temps will warm into the mid to upper 70s across East Texas this afternoon, so make sure you enjoy it!
Tonight is looking clear, calm, and cool around East Texas. Expect clear skies overnight, with winds coming from the north at 5 to 10 mph. Temps will be a bit chilly by the morning, falling to the upper 40s overnight.
Conditions through the midweek this week will be rather calm and sunny. Expect sunny skies on Tuesday and Wednesday, with mostly sunny skies expected on Thursday. Temps will stay on the mild side, with highs of 70 expected Tuesday, 71 on Wednesday, and 74 on Thursday.

FRIDAY AND SATURDAY
Friday and Saturday is when the weather pattern again looks to turn wet in East Texas. Expect mostly cloudy skies both days, with the chance for showers and storms around the region. Storm chances are at 30 percent for Friday and 40 percent for Saturday.
Temps will be warm on Friday, reaching to near 74, but will only reach to around the mid-60s on Saturday, as a cold front will be pushing on through.
Sunny skies return by Sunday as the clouds clear on out of the region. Sadly, warm temps will be taking a short break. Expect highs on Sunday to only reach the upper-50s around East Texas.
