TYLER, Texas — Highs will continue to reach the mid 90s through the weekend for East Texas. Rain chances will be very slim and likely confined to Deep East Texas until early next week. Although no heat advisory is currently in effect, that doesn't mean you should take the heat lightly. Make sure you are staying cool and staying hydrated!

How long will this heat last?

Let's dive in for a look!

Tonight & Saturday:

Temps will fall to the mid-70s overnight, but 70s won't start popping up until after midnight. Winds will be from the south around 5 to 10 mph.

Sunday will continue to stay very similar to Friday and Saturday, with partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies. Rain chances will go up just a little bit, with a 10% chance for rain, mostly in deep East Texas, and mostly pop up related. Temps will remain in the mid-90s with feels like at or above 100.

Monday & Tuesday:

Clouds will start to increase on Monday as rain and storm chances return to the region. Expect skies to become mostly cloudy by Monday night with rain and storm chances continuing into Tuesday. Right now the chance for rain and storms is 40% on Monday and 50% on Tuesday. Skies should start to clear some by late Tuesday.

Temps during this period will start to cool thanks to the clouds and the rain. Expect highs on Monday to just reach around 90 with highs Tuesday staying in the mid-80s.

Wednesday, Thursday, & Friday:

After the cold front from Monday and Tuesday moves out, the weather is just looking perfect for the midweek next week! Expect sunny skies for both Wednesday and Thursday, with mostly sunny skies expected for Friday. Temps will be in the mid to upper 80s Wednesday and Thursday, with temps near 90 returning by Friday.

While things will still be toasty, the humidity is expected to be way down. This means these days look perfect to get out and enjoy, especially with rain chances staying out of the forecast!

More heat is on the way for the weekend East Texas, but relief is in sight! Hope those ACs are working for this weekend!
