TYLER, Texas — Our all too familiar summer weather pattern will be sticking around this week. Although temperatures are not forecast to hit the triple digits, we are going to get close several days this week. A Heat Advisory is in place for almost all of East Texas through Tuesday evening, with many places likely to see feels like temps between 105 to 110.
On top of the hot weather, some pop ups are possible almost every day in our forecast, with rain chances becoming more likely as we head toward the weekend. It is looking like one hot and humid week East Texas!
We are expecting mostly sunny to partly cloudy skies this evening. We are also expecting a 10% chance for a stray shower or storm, though this will mostly be in Deep East Texas. Temps will be in the upper 90's, and feels like temps will easily remain above 100 degrees.
Any chance at rainfall should go away as we head into tonight. Temps will fall to the upper 70s, and conditions will remain warm and humid. Skies should be mostly clear overnight.
Tuesday - Thursday:
The weather for Tuesday through Thursday will be pretty similar each day around East Texas. Expect skies to be mostly sunny to partly cloudy, with around a 10% chance for pop up showers or a storm or two each afternoon and early evening. Temps will remain in the upper 90s with feels like temps staying north of 100.
Friday & The Weekend:
The weather pattern starts to change a little bit for Friday and the weekend, with rain chances going up and temps falling just a little bit. Expect partly cloudy skies for Friday with a 20% chance for some showers or a storm. This rain chance jumps to 30% for Saturday & Sunday with partly cloudy to mostly cloudy skies, then back down to 20% for next Monday with continued partly cloudy skies.
Temps during this period will still be rather warm. Expect mid-90s to continue from Friday all the way through the weekend.
It's another hot week ahead East Texas! Staying cool remains a priority!
